Find, import, and verify leads

Use the lead database, Apollo Super Search, CSV/XLSX import, and email verification.

The built-in lead finder

Dashboard → Prospects → Find Leads searches the global lead database by title, industry, location, and company size. Save results straight into a prospect list.

Super Search (Apollo)

Super Search runs live Apollo.io people searches for fresher, deeper coverage. It's available on every plan; results import with full name, title, company, and verified email where available.

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Settings → Integrations and paste your Apollo.io API key (created in Apollo under Settings → Integrations → API).
  2. 2Open Find Leads, switch the source to Apollo, and set your filters — title, seniority, location, headcount, keywords.
  3. 3Select the people you want and add them straight to a prospect list.

Your key is stored encrypted and only ever used for your own searches. Searches run against your Apollo plan's credits.

SuperSearch (Instantly)

With an Instantly.ai API key connected (Dashboard → Settings → Integrations), Find Leads can search Instantly's B2B lead database too. Previewing matches is free; importing runs an enrichment in your Instantly workspace that resolves verified work emails — 1 Instantly credit per lead.

  1. 1Paste your Instantly API key in Settings → Integrations (create one in Instantly under Settings → Integrations → API keys).
  2. 2In Find Leads, switch the source to Instantly and search — you'll see names, titles, and companies, with emails hidden at this stage.
  3. 3Pick a target list, choose how many leads to import, and hit Import. ColdPegion enriches them through your Instantly account and pulls them in with emails — leads without one are skipped.

The enriched leads also stay in a lead list in your Instantly workspace, so the credits aren't lost if you use both tools.

Import your own file

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → Prospects → Import and upload a CSV or XLSX.
  2. 2Map your columns to ColdPegion fields (email is required; first name, company, title power personalization).
  3. 3Pick or create a target list. Duplicates are skipped automatically.

Verify before you send

Run verification on any list from the Prospects page. Invalid and risky addresses are flagged so campaigns skip them — this is the single biggest protector of your sender reputation. With a ZeroBounce key configured, verification uses premium accuracy.

Aim for a bounce rate under 2%. Sending to unverified lists is the fastest way to land in spam.
